Something Out of Nothing

William Reedy
This is the story of a family getting by on faith and not much else.
Here’s a little story from a book that I still read
It’s a story I remember in my darkest hour of need
When I’m wandering in the desert so dusty, hot and dry
Drinking water from a rock and eating manna from the sky

Chorus:
Making something out of nothing every day to stay alive
Making something out of nothing every hour to survive

Once a famous teacher with good news for you and me
Stood upon a hillside by the Sea of Galilee
He was speaking to the people till the evening of the day
He broke bread among those people, fed the hungry, so they say

Chorus:
Making something out of nothing every day to stay alive
Making something out of nothing every hour to survive

Bridge:
We’ll make a little miracle if we can find a way
We’ll make a little miracle right here, right now today

Now this old car won’t go unless I push it down the road
Mom’s washer broke down; it won’t take another load
The family’s in a free-fall struggling each and every day
Robbing Peter just to pay Paul for food and a place to stay

Chorus:
Making something out of nothing every day to stay alive
Making something out of nothing every hour to survive

Making something out of nothing every day
