William Reedy: Music
Yummy and Shavon
(Words and Music by William Reedy)
Yummy was a little guy
Once his dreams were flying high
Just like eagles in the sky
Then one day, he had to die
I'll tell you the story of
How this came to be
Yummy lost his heart and soul
For eternity
Sweet Shavon was a lovely child
Rooms would light up when she smiled
The sun was up, the day was mild
Yummy fired, shooting wild
Shavon stepped outside
Suddenly, she died
Yummy ran away and hid
While her family cried
Hardaway boys were tried and true
They had a little job to do
They knew who to do it to
Yummy was a walking clue
Two kids went to jail
Where they live inside a cell
One kid went to heaven
One was born in hell
Little baby Jesus
Lying in the manger
Little babies everywhere
Growing up in danger
Until Christmas Day
I can only pray
Those precious little babies
Grow up to be ok
